2021 Randomized Control Trial - Journal of EMDR Practice and Research
We conducted a randomized controlled trial with local EMDR-trained clinicians. In this study, we compared individual scores pre- and post-intervention and group scores between the immediate and waitlist conditions. Participants completed the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21), and the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale. Results showed significant increases in self-efficacy, and significant decreases in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.
