Four Part Approach
Our focus is on the universal promotion of emotional health with an emphasis on the well-being of students through the use of a program based on leading neuro-scientific research. Our focus is creating better learners through stronger emotional health.
Prepped 4 Learning may be used as a comprehensive guidance and counselling program within the whole school setting. The full program includes four parts:
Professional Learning
A Professional Learning section was developed for teachers and other school staff. It reviews learning theories and simple neuroscience to describe how students can be affected by overwhelming events. More specifically, it works through how such events can impact the brain and impede learning and behaviour. School staff learn how to utilize the e-book effectively to help students learn to regulate their emotions and calm their mind and body to become better learners. There is a series of interactive activities, videos, audios, suggestions for enhancing learning in order to engage school staff while learning the material need to help their students learn to regulate.

Self-Regulation eBook
The Self-Regulation component is an eBook you will receive for free with the Professional Learning. The eBook contains teacher scripts, student activities, slides, downloadable, and many other valuable components. It is filled with strategies and activities for classroom use to ease teachers in assisting their students. The eBook and materials are included to limit preparation time as all activities and materials are included in an easily accessible format.
Pyramid of Intervention
The Pyramid of Intervention describes how to facilitate student learning in prevention strategies as well as explaining what to do following a traumatic event in a school. This tiered approach involves a hands-on strategy for staff to work with the students after a traumatic event in order to decrease the risk of long-term repercussions related to the event, as well as guidance on when to refer out for further services. You will receive the Pyramid of Intervention free with the Professional Learning.
Parent Information
A Parent Information section to be shared with parents whose children are learning how to regulate (tolerate and release) their emotions. Teaching parents how to regulate their own emotions in helpful ways will augment student success. Remember we learn from watching others.
Included in our Professional Learning package, you will receive free slides and speaking notes to facilitate an information session for parents. This will help children generalize and transfer their newly learned skills into the home environment.
